Many of our Men’s Groups have been meeting for well over 5 years, some predating the formation of CMF as an organization. Whether groups are old or new, hundreds of men come together across the Diocese and in their Parishes for formation, fellowship, prayer, support, and accountability. We are brothers in Christ, supporting one another on our journeys.
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus says, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations….” Jesus is calling us to share the Gospel. Not unlike last year with the “Made for More” Program, which was wildly successful, this year after the Gathering we are launching the “Sharing Christ” Program in as many Parishes across the Diocese as we can.
The plan is to have the men of our Parish Men’s Groups take what they’ve been experiencing weekly to their Parish community. Doing so presents the opportunity to work with our spouses and other leaders of the Parish to form the Core Team. The first step is to get endorsement from your Pastor, who does not have to participate for the program, although he is more than welcome. Second, bring as many as you can to the training that CMF is sponsoring with Christlife at St. Thomas More on June 12 and 13. Click here for more information and registration.
Brothers, this is an opportunity to lead the men of your group to step out of their comfort zones to share the love of Christ with your Parish family. Together, let’s step up, be bold, and help others in coming to the place where so many of us have in our faith. Let’s do it together by “Sharing Christ”, the program developed by Christlife and used nationally and internationally by Parishes and Dioceses to great success, including many in Pittsburgh.
